Accessibility Statement

Matteo’s Trattoria & Bar in Huntington is committed to making our website usable for everyone, including people with disabilities.

Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. We most recently reviewed this site on November 2, 2026, using automated tools and manual keyboard testing. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and some parts of the site may not yet meet this standard.

What we have done

  • Added a “Skip to main content” link and a clear page structure with headings and landmarks.
  • Made the main menu, submenus, mobile menu, image galleries and slideshows usable with a keyboard.
  • Added a pause button to slideshows that move automatically.
  • Added text descriptions to gallery photos.
  • Labeled form fields and links, and warned when a link opens in a new tab.
  • Gave embedded maps and reservation widgets descriptive titles.
  • Checked text contrast and page layout on phones, tablets and at 400% zoom.

Known limitations

  • Some features are provided by outside companies, including online reservations (OpenTable), online ordering, gift cards, the Google map and our email sign-up confirmation page. We do not control their accessibility.
  • Some documents, such as menus and catering packages, are provided as PDF files and may not be fully accessible. If you cannot use a document, contact us and we will provide the information in another format.
  • We have not yet completed testing with screen readers or at all zoom levels, so some pages may not work as well as they should for those users.
